Well, I'll say this.

I'll accept 30 FPS on certain console games... Specifically, exclusives. On PC, I will not play a game with the FPS below 60. My monitor is a 144 hz display, and two of them are 1080p monitors.. The other is 1600 x 900, or something. I use use that as a resource monitor more than anything else.

The 144hz display is also a 1ms gray to gray display, with 9ms of display lag. My other monitor, an HDTV, I got when I didn't know what I was doing, is an HDTV, with 32ms of display lag. I do not play games on that TV anymore. Period. The HDTV is a spot I use for everything that isn't gaming.

I got sick of seeing trips coming in Tekken, and not being able to block them. I was so serious about it that it, a PS3 game, made me upgrade the main display for my PC. I still get tripped, yeah. But not when I see it coming. I've been more than happy.

Then, the added bonus of being able to turn OFF vsync! No more screen tearing, smooth 90 FPS in Batman: Arkham Knight and Overwatch?

As for 4k, no, I don't care. I'd rather max out the graphical settings, and push higher frame rates. 4k at 20FPS isn't worth it. Running all my games at max settings, 1080p @ 144 FPS is the bigger priority. I can run anything beyond 90 because at some point, I'll get frame drops, and even if it's just 3 or 4, it bugs me to no end.

I originally wanted the PS4 Pro, but after seeing the games were not going to be 60FPS across the board, I didn't see a reason to upgrade. That alone killed any desire I had for the Pro. Not interested in HDR, I just wanted everything to run smoothly.
