All I know is Wii U like Dreamcast had a successful launch but trailed off after that.

Same with the PSVita, launch doesn't say much these days, its really what happens after, obviously any nintendo platform that launches will have a lot of media attention and there are many Nintendo loyalists that will just buy the console, which is fine, but its really after the first lets say 8m consoles we get to see how well the console actually does.
