You're not listening. It doesn't matter what's inside the console, what matters is the complete overhaul of Nintendo's gaming divisions to support the Nintendo Switch. There will no longer be a handheld and home console division. Developers will no longer have to learn how to program and code for two entirely different systems. All of that is a thing of the past and it's this that makes the Switch a true hybrid console - unlike any other console that came before it. It's not marketing at all, it's the reality we (and Nintendo) are facing.
If everything goes according to plan the Switch will have mainline Pokémon games, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, 2D Zelda, 3D Zelda, etc.
Hopefully we also get a first person adventure Metroid game alongside a 2D Metroid. That's what it means to have a hybrid console: no longer will there be games that are only made for handhelds or home consoles. We'll get both type of games on the same system.
