Most people are just thinking about the assembling. But where should the parts come from? Those are also made in the far east right now. If that would have to change, holy fuckballs, you are in for a beautiful surprise! While it is true that Apple has ridiculous high margins, they can't just let those reduce. And it is expensive as fuck to produce such an insane amount of devices in the US. Not just because of minimum wage, but also because of taxes, health issues and so on. There's a fuckload of things to consider, all in all, Apple would probably break even with the current prices and a manufacturing in the US.
But guess what happens if they just eat the losses. Shares would plummit hard as fuck, investors would get the hell away from Apple, shrinking their market cap in no time. Less value in shares means less money available. Less money available meany higher risk. That all can come together just right to fuck even a giant like Apple up for good.
There's a reason that there is globalization, and especially US citizens profit heavily from it. They just don't know it. Sure, there will be jobs. But you won't be able to afford anything with your minimum wage earned in the glorious Apple factory.
But oh well, we'll see. I don't think Trump would ever pull this though. And even if he tries, Apple would just get the hell out of the US. So nothing will happen either way.
