Easy. Look at the sales. They are very low. Its pretty plain to see that Sony fans don't care about TR like they claim they do. Where is this much larger following? |
Go look at the WW numbers or UK numbers. They will show you that RTOR haven't done worse on PS4. And the only people that said the PS4 players would come running to buy the year late port were MS fans saying the exclusitivity didn't impacted the franchise negatively, so you are barking at the wrong tree.

Because it could be built up. What was the first thing that happened when Rise was announced as exclusive? People demanded it be on Sony then said they wouldn't buy it anyway because its a betrayal against Sony fans who bought on ps1 20 years ago. But lets say that the next 2 TR games were MS exclusive too. Eventually it would have been seen as a MS franchise. Kinda like how Sony fans see FF as a Sony franchise even though there are a half dozen games on Nintendo systems. We might get to see this happen now because of the poor sales on PS4. Kinda like how Titanfall 2 ended up on PS4 and it suffered bad sales. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes back to MS exclusivity, assuming it survives. |
So you either expect MS to expend a buckload of money to keep buying exclusivity for TR or Square to go nuts and lose money for 3 franchises just to try and make a dedicated fanbase on X1, what is the logic of that?
Even with Final Fantasy that had 90% of Zero sales on PS4 against X1 they still put a version for X1 and have put for XV but you expect they to decide to drop 2/3 of their potential sales on TR because of reasons? Please explain your logic.
