Did you not read what I said or are you just not comprehending?

Like I already said more than once, these games were too spread out and too late, on top of that the system was overall unappealing due to things like poor marketing/advertising & high price.

If Wii U had solid marketing/advertising, a $250 price tag along with 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Splatoon, Zelda, Pokemon and some smaller support titles in the first year, like Switch is rumored to have than it would sold over 10 million year 1.

Those games on Wii U were new. On Switch are ports. Those ports are not going to sell better or move hardware than the og versions.

Yes, and it sold 81 million units despite only having half the lifetime cycle of the original Gameboy (meaning it sold a lot better than it). It also had many good original titles like Metroid: Fusion (my favorite 2D Metroid title), Fire Emblem (the first entry to be released in the West), Golden Sun, Pokémon Ruby and Saphire, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap (my second favorite 2D Zelda game), Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Wario Land 4, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, etc.

It was still a port machine. Also, those were filler, not considered as big releases like the op wants to believe with the Wii u ports on Switch.
