It shouldnt be the standard, thats like saying all Playstation consoles and all Nintendo handhelds need to sell over 150 million to be successful because thats the standard.
But i agree with the overall point that MK8 is being held back by the Wii U install base and has potential to sell much more by being on a popular device.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
