I have absolutely no problem with ports, especially when you're targeting people who might have missed playing those games.
The only potential issue is that it looks like these are more than just ports. If Nintendo has internal development teams still working on new content for games like Mario Kart or Mario Maker, that makes me wonder if new games are going to be delayed further. That would kind of suck for Wii U owners who are done with those games.
