This Switch lineup obviously isn't full lineup, but just new 3D Mario is much stronger title than anything Wii U had in its 1st whole year.

Although the line up he posted is nowhere near the rumoured line up of the Switch I'll disagree here and point out that Wii U had a 3D Mario which regardless of the people moaning is still one of the best games of this gen the only difference is that this time round it will be a launch title, I'll also say W101 is one of the best action titles ever made as well.

What makes the Switch line up far stronger is that the are more significantly notable games present through out the line up even if you remove the ports as opposed to Wii U which had about 3 notable titles in the first year in the whole line up.

Wii U did have 3D Mario but technically at start of Wii Us 2nd year (when Wii U was already dead) while Switch 3D Mario is launch game, and we talked about launch lineup. Great launch game is totally different compared to situation where already troubled and "doomed" console gets great new game.

Yup, Switch 1st year lineup even with those partial lineup lineup and without remasters, is still stronger than Wii U lineup.
