Why updated ports make sense for Nintendo fans

I agree it's good for most Nintendo fans a.k.a. non-Wii U owners, but for those with Wii U's while this isn't bad for us it's not necessarily good either, that depends on the quality and price of these enhanced ports which remains to be seen.
