Last of US worked cause it was very recent, still fresh on people's minds.  Mario Kart 8 and Smash came out in 2014, Splatoon in 2015.  Collections are another, different issue, but that's not what we are talking about.  GTAV, same thing as Last of Us.  And if games are old enough, yes a remaster can be big news.  Splatoon, Kart, and Smash for Wii U all sit in the awkward place of being too recent for remasters and too old for a straight port.

Nah, you are just making up arbitrary time lines with literally nothing to back them up. Updated ports of 1 year old games are fine but not for 2-3 year old games? That makes no sense.

Im willing to bet all 3 of these updated ports will sell over 5 million on Switch.

Not to mention that PS4 also has older PS3 ports like God Of War 3, Journey, Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls...and I won't even mention 3rd parties remasters..

Yup, those Wii U remasters will sell great and beacuse of them Switch will more appling console for people who didnt had Wii U, and we know only 13m people actually has Wii U..
