I think I'll stop there, it's not an isolated rumour on one site, it's featured on a lot of news sites and I guarantee a lot more than 0.1% of Pokemons Playerbase follow gaming news.

 

ANYONE who types "Pokemon Sun and Moon" into google right now gets the Switch version articles as the TOP RESULT. People will hear about this.

So... the 0.2%?

And from there the amount of people that already decided to buy the Switch for sure and also has decided to wait for a year to play a game that they could be playing now is already a minority inside a minority.
