Has Sony kept their promise of PS3 10 years lifespan?

Don't get me wrong, it's good that Sony didn't forget about PS3 but the support after 9 or 10 years is hardly the same as in the first years.

- pointed out to you that PS3 is still supported with online network

- pointed out to you that PS3 is still supported with PS+ games (Dirt 3, Costume Quest 2 and Pumped BMX+ this month)

- pointed out to you that PS3 has received numerous big first party games close to and after the launch of PS4 (God of War: Ascension, The Last of Us, Beyond Two Souls, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus, Gran Turismo 6, LittleBigPlanet 3, etc.)

 

If this isn't supporting your 10 year old console, I don't know what the heck is

And what does "they are not *actively* supporting it" even mean? Are you trying to find out which of the 2 manufacturers have been the most active in their support?

 

 

 

 

Go home with your console warrior bullshit listwars crap, seriously. I said that the main support comes from 3rd party, not from Sony themself. I don't say they don't support it but the support is basically just keeping the status quo in terms of online features. They are just not shutting down servers. And even if, of course publishers will still release games for that console.

I say that this is a kind of support that isn't anything to be excited about. "Hey, it still works!" is basically it, in my opinion.
