| Ariakon said: About 30-40k higher for the Xone than I expected, I wouldn't be too surprised if it took November as well, due to the number of deals available for it. I expect it, ps4 and 3ds to all have a good month, though.
It's a bit disappointing how far off Amazon was as a predictor last month, however, really leaves us without a good sense of the market save for the NPD reports. |
I don't know. I wouldn't count PS4 out just yet. I think Amazon is going to end up being accurate this month. The problem with Oct is there was either lack of stock of the Gears Bundle or a glitch in counting it in the Top 100. However, the other retailers showed a different picture, with the XBO doing better than the PS4. Looking at the other retailers, now, shows a change in Nov. These are the Top 50 in video games overal, though I will only be looking at PS4 and XBO HW.
Gamestop: #12 - PS4 Pro, #26 - XBO Gears + Forza, #28 - PS4 COD, #29 - XBO Gears Ultimate Ed, #34 - XBO Gears + Rare Replay, #35 - PS4 Pro + PSVR
Walmart: #1 - PS4 COD, #4 - XBO Gears, #5 - XBO Minecraft, #6 - XBO BF1, #8 - XBO The Division, #9 - PS4 UC4, #12 - PS4 Pro, #31 - XBO BF1 SE, #38 - Gears SE, #40 - PS4 COD + GTA, #41 - XBO BF1 SE
Target: #6 - PS4 UC4, #7 - PS4 UC4, #9 - XBO Halo, #12 - XBO BF1, #17 - PS4 Pro
Best Buy - #1 - PS4 Pro, #5 PS4 UC4, #16 - XBO BF1, #17 XBO BF1, #29 - XBO Gears, #30 - XBO Minecraft, #41 XBO Madden
To me, the only one you can make a good case that the XBO leads in is Walmart, while the others it looks like the PS4 has a lead.
