Good news it will be able to do 4K streaming. The Shield TV can do it without issue, so if Nintendo does it right, this will too.
Gaming-wise, 1080p. This thing is not near powerful enough to do any 4K.
I am with you though. I just mounted my Samsung 65KS8000. Upgraded from a 58" Panasonic 720p Plasma from 2007. HUUUUUUUGE difference!
