The Wii U launched in 2012, making 2012 the last year of the Wii.  And in 2012, you had Xenoblade Chronicles, one of the highest rated RPGs of the generation and regarded as one of the best JRPGs in years.  There was also Last Story, another good game.  Nintendo actually closed out the Wii with strong games, just pathetically absent marketing.  Which was a problem that cripled the Wii U until Mario Kart 8 in 2014 and then plagued it again in large parts of 2015 and 2016.  But expecting the Wii to have a major exclusive in 2013 would be as stupid as expecting the PS3 to have a major exclusive in 2014. 

Also, good things to hear.  Have to wait to know the particulars, but encouraging to hear Nvidia going in hard with Switch.
