Even if you removed the entire Wii U userbase from the equation the's still 60m people left in the userbase to sell to, if we say that every Wii U owner has a 3DS that would still leave around 47m roughly the same amount as the SNES total which is obviously still higher than every console that came after it bar the Wii, in fact only Playstation platforms and the 360 have sold more than that.

A hybrid device tbh makes the portable side far more significant than the home console side, as troubled as the Wii U has been the portable side of things have been really good for 3DS owners.

60million. What was the last one? 150million.

Right now, as the market moves, every costumer counts for them.

150m is the highest selling platform of all time so that's a poor argument as only the PS2 compares with that, 60m would also mean they've outsold all their previous consoles barring 2 (NES and Wii).

Every customer counts for all companies as console sales are down from last gen and will likely finish lower, 60m is a big success for any company especially with the type of attach rate they're gaining now days and the way the market is today, the only competitor to the 3DS sold 14m for reference.
