I can only speak for the first game but I won't say the game isn't fun to play for me.

There is a lot of shooting right now which is basically waiting for someone to pop up, shoot, repeat. The climbing "action" is something you get used to in seconds and there is nothing to master at all.

It's the story that is somehow interesting while the acting is just... Yeah, either you like it or not. Nathan is a person that is designed to be sympathic to a lot of people, the game screams mainstream with everything it does.

That said, I am a huge Indiana Jones fan so I look forward to play the other 3 titles, too, but I'm afraid that from a gameplay point of view, it'll be the same.

I played the demo of the first one, I played a bit of the Vita game, I watched all of UC4. It's always the same. Even in the latest game you will still find that pipe/ladder/ledge that will break when you climb on it every five minutes. From a gameplay perspective there is nothing worthwhile in the game.

It's just set pieces after set pieces that put spectacle over everything else. You could just run through the game without paying any attention to your surroundings and you would lose nothing from the experience.

But if you like the story and don't have to puke at their horrible conversations it could be a nice zen-like experience. You know, like watching a movie. A really really long movie.

It's almost like that, yes. You don't have any puzzles that are challenging, you just keep on moving forward through this game. No one gets left behind in Uncharted. Still, I am somehow enjoying it. But the scores it got with over 90 is just not justified, in my opinion.
