I can understand the sentiment as a whole, but Sony tries far more to have diverse content than any other publisher. You look back to their PS1 catalogue, but their PS3 offerings were more diverse than any other platform.
I'd recommend people to branch out, try new things, and don't look at sales charts and Metacritic as a buying guide.
