Comparing the PS4 trailer and the Switch trailer is completely apple and oranges. The Switch was revealed in a single trailer. There was no 2 hour conference revealing the system, which was streamed by multiple sources. You wanted to find out the first real info on the Switch, firsthand, you had to watch that trailer. Sony had a conference explaining basically everything about the system, including specs, and then released a trailer. It's amazing the PS4 trailer got so many views considering. We'll just have to wait and see how well Nintendo is at converting those views into sales, like Sony was able to do. @ OP Man, Nvidia wants back into the console biz bad. Which is weird considering they were bashing it for the past few years. Also, sounds to me that they are prioritizing mobility and energy efficiency (this one always seems like a big thing for Nintendo) over power, which makes sense being a tablet with controls. Personally, I wouldn't expect anything over 1/2 the power of the XBO, nor many AAA ports to the system, for that matter. Well, unless this thing pulls a Wii, but I highly doubt that. |
It's because their forray into gaming devices has more or less failed with the Shield. At minimum, it didn't have the impact they had projected or at least hoped for.
