To be fair this is potentially the BIGGEST game in Nintendo's history. Zelda is a precious IP to them as well as to the rest of the industry. E3 showed it was more than worth the wait. All that negative baggage you speak of..I don't know how much those have reasonated after E3.
This is an HD, 3D, open World game from one of the most respected franchises in this industry. Fans expect greatness or close to perfection from these mainline games, no matter how fair it is. And before someone mentions the spinoffs and remakes/re masters that have occurred during BoTW's development, most of them were developed by outside sources. Plus, the amiibo functionality (especially with the Wolf Link data being able to transfer from TPHD to BoTW) is something Nintendo isn't gonna just drop so the Wii U version should remain alongside the Switch version.
i get your feelings on this, but I still disagree with your overall point. Especially after the blowout from E3, thus, for me, a couple extra months won't hurt. Some fans have waited for FFXV and Last Guardian for about 10 years so..
