Wait, they are going to make it for the people who bought a Wii U for it? Why? Wouldn't that make their Wii U purchase a waste of money?

Aren't they making ports of Smash and Mario Kart? This is no different than those games, except that Nintendo has made less money from XC X on WiiU so the extra sales on the Switch would be very welcome.
