In general this comparison is strange. You are comparing a Console to a Christmas gift.

I don't think the NES mini will ever sell that amount because Nintendo isn't going to make that many.

Pretty sure consoles can be used as Christmas Gifts.

How is it any different than selling a console with bundled games? Granted it might be 30 years late but so what?

Nintendo will keep making them until they stop selling, which given how well SMB3 still sells today, might be never.
