It did feel a lot like the same people who painted Bush Jr as a joke were doing the same thing with Trump, and I think that approach of not taking an opposing candidate seriously is a bad strategy. Because then you don't seriously focus on the important things and clearly explain to voters why the opponent is a bad option. It's just LoL the guy is a joke, vote for me.
