Not true, its showed like hybrid device, home console and handheld in one. Purpose and intended of Switch is great shown is in trailer, there is nothing unclear about Switch from trailer, whats Nintendo PR talk is totally different thing, but that's just PR talk.

You dont know how much Nintendo spent on R&D for Switch, and who cares how much they spent if Switch will be popular and actualy sale. Dock will gave power and connectors for sure, it's assumed it will have active cooling also so that Switch in dock mode will be able to run at higher clocks and run games at higher resolution on TV compared in handheld mode.
