Actually, that's not completely fair. It was really the introduction of Freiza and Goku's "Super Saijin" transformation where the quality of the show became completely irredeemable.

Sort of agreed, but I would say until shortly after Freeza died, and that it started going downhill when it became Z, before it ended up at something that was a far cry to the Dragonball where there was more focus on techniques rather than power levels, and adventure.
This was more noticable in the manga imo, as it kept things to the point all the way through.

Future Trunks arc in Super plays homage to a lot of classic DB elements, including abilities and techniques that take a precedence over power levels. But there's plenty of the latter as well.

Yeah, for me, I never cared about the techniques. Dragonball was about the sense of adventure, and that's been completely lost.
