Well to be fair it's still a better situation: this year in particular I think the devs who worked on B1 or Titanfall 2 should get the "recognition" they deserve since they made a game better than IW but honestly any year there are better alternatives, say in 2015 Uncharted 4 instead of BO3 . I'm shure that if CoD or FIFA weren't a thing people would still be buying games, there's plenty of games that give the same if not more satisfraction the FIFA/CoD userbase are looking for in those titles, say for example Rocket League or Splatoon.
