The problem is that most Shinto youkais are really really lame. I think it's nice that they borrow a lot from other mythologies. Western games usually lock themselves into just one mythology and it gets boring. While in any given FF you will find egyptian, greece, norse, chinese, christian, hundu and a lot of obscure stuff within just one game.
I mean why not? it's certainly more creative than any given GoW game.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
