He is saying that in the context of casting a vote a vote for Trump is a very destructive way to try to grab attention, trying to get your message across no matter the terrible cost. (In fact, the bigger the mess is, the more you like it because of "sticking it to the man".) I think the analogy to terrorism is a legitimate one from that perspective, although you can certainly disagree with his assessment of the consequences of electing Trump and your motivations for voting for him. |
