Let's face it: Lara got a limited exclusivity deal which set off a lot of the vocal majority, Sony fans. I still remember all the embarrassing threads and posts around that situation.
Add to that that uncharted is an exclusive and given that fact, there is a certain additional hype around that. Remember the desperate attempts to generate hype for the Order and how the situation was close before launch when it was clear how bad that game was? I remember several bans on this site alone.
Nobody would've given a flying fuck if the game would've been a third party game.
And add to that that uncharted is more or less the “chosen one“, the mascot Sony never had, set to outdo its biggest competitor, halo, and it seems they managed to achieve that.

Sony has always had mascots. crash, spyro, Jak & Daxter, Sackboy, Jin Kazama, Kratos, Dante.... they just never stick to one franchise and keep moving on.

The Order was was... Let's just say many people looked at it with fanboy goggles. I know I did, and I regret my launch day purchase. however, Uncharted can't be compared to The Order. the two games are totally different in quantity and Quality. your very argument shows that MS fanboys prefer TR since they don't have Uncharted and since this is the closest in having their own treasure hunter / Nathan Drake killer, some people might generate threads and hype the game up.

The argument is also unfair to both games as it suggests the games themselves aren't any good as it's their exclusiveness, availability to a competitor that makes them great not the game itself.
