If people bought a Wii U for nothing but a new Zelda than maybe they should have waited until a new Zelda released before buying a Wii U........its literally that simple, dont buy a gaming device unless it has games on it that you want to play.

I said 'in an extreme case', and I said it mainly to make a point. If Zelda was one of Wii U's selling points for someone, it lost one of its selling points when it was announced that the only Zelda on Wii U would be simultaneously released on Switch as well. Obviously it's not likely that a lot of people got a Wii U just for a new Zelda games (otherwise they would've just waited, just like you said), but had they known this in advance (and looking at Nintendo's history with Zelda games, they had all the reason to anticipate an exclusive Zelda), they might have considered getting a Wii U more carefully. At the very least their expectations wouldn't have been broken.

I get it to an extent, but the thing is the game is still coming to Wiii U so that selling point is still there and if Zelda wasnt the only reason that they bought a Wii U than all those others still exist.

For example, lets say someone wanted a Wii U for these 5 games, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade, Zelda. Guess what? all 5 of those games are on Wii U.

At least these people still have the option of playing the game on Wii U, its not like Final Fantasy Versus XIII or The Last Guardian where they were delayed for years, assumed to be dead, then all of a sudden showed back up and were no longer releasing on the consoles they were originally announced.
