Well there werent really any benefits to buying third party multiplats on the Wii or WiiU(a few exceptions of course) but I think the portability of the Switch can convince some people to buy it on that system. Developers dont have to add some gimmick to make the game special. It becomes special just by porting it.

I can buy that. There is something cool about being able to continue a quest in Skyrim after leaving the house, for example. But I don't think that functionality would move the needle that much.
