Good games that still got slammed by fans.

The character was the tip of the iceburg. It's the fact the combos are dumb and the story was cringy and not in a B movie fun way. Art design is awful. Dante is no longer witty,just some bro trying way to hard to sound tough. I was pulling off S ranks by mashing buttons. DMC you can't do that. If it was it's own game it would have been just average game with some merits on it's own but as a DMC game yeah it's truly awful.

Never had any problem with it. I though the gameplay was fine and the story was ok. The level design in particular was excellent in my opinion. I have the first and third game in the series as well, and I just think of them as being part of an entirely separate universe to DMC: Devil May Cry. Then again, I've never regarded any of the games in the series as amazing.
