The voice actors can't trust that once one project ends, another will be coming right after. Then they should get work elsewhere. This has been the case in the gaming industry for the last two decades now. VAs are just not important enough. They should deal with that instead of trying to make a living on something you cant make a living at.

And again, there's absolutely no reason why they should not be given a decent salary for the work they do. Just because the past has been like that doesn't meant things can't or shouldn't change.
