How will Nintendo do a 'GPS' Pokemon for Switch?

Maybe in game microtransactions could pay for data? Or maybe it's a sneaky way for Nintendo to kill the samrtphone battery so people are left with only a Switch to play on (well played, Nintendo).

I think smarphones apps could in general be used by Nintendo as a sort of upgraded streetpass where people can exchange some gaming related content/data between smarphones and consoles. The content could be used on a more basic level on smarphones, or for a more in-depht experience on Switch.

This way they could have advantages in terms of both more interaction opportunities for Switch users and increased awareness of smartphone users.
