Excellent news! It's about time. Considering the timing, I'd say No Man's Sky had something to do with this (although it's probably not the only offender).

I don't even know why they allowed to use renders (I can understand it for Greenlight titles, but only while in that stage), so I see this as a move in the right direction.

If I had to guess, I'd say they probably didn't have a policy about that. That, or they didn't consider it a problem, and it was probably useful for them as well.
