This is not a rumour, just speculation on what is likely.
A nice write up but people are simply looking at the upper limits of what is possible with the Tegra x2 without taking into account the practical application of it within the Tablet. Battery and Overheating will lower those paper specs to something a bit weaker. Anything approaching 1TF is Fantasy.
