Me on 29 May 2008
| Picko said: With a BMI of 39 any form of exercise will drastically reduce one's weight. To put this in perspective I'm 188 cm or 6'2, to have a BMI of 39 I would need to weight 140kg or 311lbs. At that weight I'd lose a significant amount of weight going for a brisk walk around the block every evening. I congratulate the man on his weight loss and hope that he continues at it. But at the end of the day the outside excercise that he speaks of will be what drives a very great majority of the weight loss. Wii Fits part to play is merely encouraging him to keep at it. It would be interesting to see where he is 6 months from now. Personally thought I'd be more interested to see how it works with someone who is overweight but not clearly obese. |
That would be me - I had a BMI of 29.7 (14 stone 3 lbs) when I started Wii Fit and i'm now down to 28.57 (13 stone 11 lbs) but to be fair i've only been using it every day for last 3 weeks or so.
Daren't go on it today though - last night I had 6 pints and a bag of fish and chips.
