Hey Vivster! The Nintendo Switch is advertised as a home console, not a handheld. It is not like the PS Vita where the Vita TV showed a person connect their Vita to the TV. The Nintendo Trailer showed them switching from TV to Portable, not Portable to TV.

You think the average consumer is interested in  what Nintendo likes to categorize it as? It's a tablet you plug into your tv. That's a concept people easily understand and that's what I guess it will be used as most of the time since Nintendo's audience is primarily handheld users.

Which is why it will sell more than the Wii U. Because there is no other handheld anymore Nintendo's fans can indulge in.

When I first look at the commercial, I see a home console, not a portable one. I can take the home console on the go. Not vise versa. If they advertise it as a portable console you can plug into the TV then you may have a point. They advertised it as a home console you can take on the go.
