Fact is, no Mario Kart game has used the same Models and Textures as the predecessor. The game shown was literally Mario Kart 8 with a new character. It's not "similair assets" it was identical assets. Mario Kart is probably my favorite series, and if they try and say this is "mario kart 9" the game will be slammed into the ground, and it will show that Nintendo has finally completely lost it.

Every previous entry in the series has had all the tracks made from the ground up, all the characters and kart models made from the ground up, all with unique music, sounds and textures.
