Last week it lost by a big marging to Madea, but all was not lost, it only cost 60 million to make. Not including what I can only imagine was an expensive ad campaign. Then it was the number one movie in America from Monday through Thursday. Sadly, Inferno probably took most of its demographic when it released this week plus mediocre word of mouth did not help.

So now with only 33 million in the tank, it could push to 40 million by the end of the weekend. Cubs being in one of the top markets did not help either as many men and some females stayed home.

It may just barely struggle to 60 million if it is lucky. I am sure overseas will push 100 million because you guys watch anything, but that is not the point. Cruise, despite a few struggles he had back when his PR was shot due to Oprah, SCientology, and Suri, is usually box office gold no matter what.

They had a 4 week span when this could have done much better, why launch it against madea on halloween and now we have many weeks of big movies coming out.

Just more bad planning from movie studios....

are you sure?;)
