What's wrong with it exactly? No one is saying "if Forza whatever looks like the last one I'm done with the series". It's the nature of racing games.

Comparing games like Forza that use real world tracks and cars to a kart racer is silly. It is not the nature of kart games, Whether it be crash, sonic, mario or any other franchise.

Though from what I've seen there's a far bigger difference between Forza games then the Mario Kart shown.

Basically it would be the laziest kart racer ever released, there's never been a kart racing game that's literally the previous entry with a couple of characters and new mechanics thrown in. That's what's wrong with it.

 

But none of this matters because it will be called Mario Kart 8, not Mario Kart 9. Because Nintendo aren't that stupid.
