I don`t know if they just never released in the UK or something but I`d never even heard of DQ until I had the internet and of course never actually saw one in a shop available to buy either. Plus Dragon Quest seems to be a Nintendo franchise, so it not being available on the platforms I prefer to play on means there still isn`t much chance of me ever playing one. If there were to release on PS or Steam though, I`d give them a go. |
Dragon Quest is super popular in Japan and mildly popular in NA. Europe didn't get DQ until its 8th installment in 2005 on the PS2, almost 20 years after the series started.
But if you're in Europe you are in access to: DQ8 on PS2, 4-6 on DS/Smart phones, 9 on DS, and 7,8, and 11 on 3DS, and 11 on PS4
