Back in PlayStation 1 days third party's rejected N64 because cartilage was too small and was expensive. Including patches today's games exceed 40-50 GB limit. They might say goodbye to their third party support because of this.

16 GB is not the maximum size, though. According to the tweet, 16 GB is actually the standard size, so there's a good chance that they have bigger cartridge sizes like 32 GB.
