1. Where are you getting 4 million physical sales 3 months after launch? If it had shipped 5 million units (including digital sales) how would it have sold 4 million retail copies at the same time? As I pointed out, game shipments are very few and far between after the launch window. 2. It grossed $400m with combined software and hardware sales? Which means...what, exactley? Uncharted 4 sold more than 2.7 million copies in it's first week. How many copies did Halo 5 sell? Since, this is a discussion of video game sales, not gross revenue. 3. The way I "should" look at it? You mean the way that fits your narrative? Tell me, is Halo 5 not Microsofts best selling exclusive? It has also had more than twice the amount of time to sell, and has already gone through its first holiday season. Not to mention, Uncharted actually isn't Sonys best selling exclusive franchise. Though, GT does seem to find itself in a similar situation as Halo. 4. I'll reiterate. Halo 5 is way down from previous games. Why would it's lackluster sales be to its credit? "Yay, you almost sold as well as a game you should have outsold easily"? 5. It's also important to point out that because Halo 5 is older, and hasn't sold aswell, each week that goes by will have it slipping farther and farther behind Uncharted 4. 6. No, it likely wouldn't be outselling Uncharted 4 at all. Uncharted 4s average weekly sales are more than double those of Halo 5. Especially since the smaller a userbase, the more likely they are to be dedicated to the exclusives of that console company (look at Nintendo). Uncharted 4 is selling better than Halo 5. It's lifetime sales, will be higher than Halo 5. Halo is not the franchise it used to be. |
Oh fuck yeah! Scissor me timbers!
