And how many pre-release reviews bashed the game for bugs? They didn't ever really have the time to discover lots of bugs.
The corruption in that system just stank, and indirectly damaged independent reviewers not participating.
(in that the reviewers participating had advantage of early exclusive time window to build up views/rating)
Honestly, I am guessing that Bethesda decided they are good enough they don't need the advantage of hand-picked reviews,
and were getting sick of both dealing with hordes of youtubers jostling to get in on the game,
and dealing with some youtube/media "personalities" who might have been trying to push for an even better deal.
