Why do people keep saying NS supports 128GB SD when the Wii U and 3DS supports 2TB?

WiiU can support 2TB HDD not SD card. But it uses the HDD in the same fashion as NS will use SD card, so that is suggestive.

3DS had a limit of 32GB SD cards, but apparently has no such stated limit any further.

The limit comes from dev kits. Apparently they are limited to 128GB. I think there won't be any such limit beyond cost.

Not true. 32GB comes from the standard FAT32 formatting, but some tools are capable of going up to 2TB albeit with a single file size limit of 4GB which doesn't really matter in this case. I use 64GB since close to 3DS launch.

Actually any device that does SDHC should be capable to use any SD ever made.
