The Square Enix CEO made claims to be pushing his company to seek western appeal, every wonder why?

Those developers/publishers know what the Wii is about (they want no part of that), but they also know what the install base is about, however they’re so vested in their typical rubbish it's disgusting.

“FFXIII could go to hell for all I care, COD4 isn't my kind of fun anymore,” that’s the idiom of thinking they have right now towards’ Wii owners, that and compound it with 'casuals' and you have the current situation is.

The apparent is they are making trash to get cash and put ‘hardcore’ IPs on the other platforms, the reality is they don't see this (wii core) market of as being profitable for the other games. They think that this market that would like those games only like it if it said "Nintendo" or had Mario in it.

The Japanese developers are more than likely going to look to PSN and retail for Xbox360, the small time ones will be making the move towards non-localized titles.

I set my hopes high for late 2008, but it seems it's just Nintendo pushing the envelope this time... maybe 2009.

All I have now are FFCC, MH3 and about 5 others, normally I run through about 20 games a year… but I’d love to get the Nintendo ideal working within my friends and family and get everyone playing, however there in lays my real issue, how can these guys measure the market if they don’t test it out properly; Red Steele was the last true attempt. (business side)

I hope that sums up what I'm getting at.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
