Both PS and XBox have the right stick below the face buttons as well, however they have it to the left, not directly under so it's not in the way. PS and XBox differ on the left with stick placement, yet they're still offset so it doesn't really matter. Placing them right above eachother looks like they might get in the way.

The gamepad has both analog sticks above and offset, not in the way. However playing FNR cramps my hand up from shoulder and face button placement. At least that should be more comfortable.
