The series was announced, but no specific game itself was announced. 

I think you will see Monster Hunter XX AND Monster Hunter 5 (Switch only) announced together for NS on Jan. 12. Just a hunch. 

It's Monster Hunter, Nintendo is going to want to have it be a key part of that event IMO. 

It's the same difference. I just think you're reading too far into this, even if it does happen.
